Short sales

Good morning!

Short sales. Are they a good deal or a scam? I want to say that the word scam is strong language. I get asked this question nearly every day by clients and investors. Short sales are mostly purchased by straw buyers or investors who do work with short sale Realtors. The process can take up to a year and there is no guarantee that you will ever close. If you have a time line and want to be into a home before school starts or 2020 then a short sale is not your path. You may want to consider hud homes or bank owned properties. These properties close sooner and have motivated sellers wanting to get this type of property off their books. Please let me know if I can answer any further questions you may have.
